Bio

I'm a CS Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working with Prof. Swamit Tannu. Previously, I received my Master's degree in CS at Stanford and Bachelor's degrees in CS and Physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I worked with Prof. Edgar Solomonik.

I interned at Argonne National Laboratory and JPMorganChase for several summers and am supported by the JPMorganChase Ph.D. Fellowship.

I served as a PC member for QCE, an external/light PC member for ISCA and MICRO, and a reviewer for QCE, QCNC, and the QIP journal.

Research Interests

My general research goal is to make practically useful quantum computing closer to reality. I'm broadly interested in FT quantum compilation, quantum algorithms, and circuit simulation.

Publications and Talks

I'm a bit lazy to maintain a separate list at this moment. Please check out my CV or Google Scholar instead :)

Beyond Research

Aside from research, I like to work out, watch movies, series, and anime, play video and board games, and read a good sci-fi or detective novel. Things I also enjoy doing but don't always get to include playing badminton, skiing, hiking, watching musicals, solving puzzles, and probably some more that I can't think of right now.

Some of my all-time favorites and recent favorites include (not comprehensive and in no particular order):

  • Movies: The Matrix, Three Idiots, Mad Max 4, Back to the Future, La La Land, good Marvel/DC movies
  • Series: HIMYM, YPM, TBBT, Legal High, True Detective, Andor
  • Anime: Arcane, AoT, Frieren, Odd Taxi, Hyouka, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
  • Games: Starcraft 2, Disco Elysium, Beat Saber, Avalon, Stellaris, Helldivers 2
  • Novels: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The End of Eternity, The Three-Body Problem, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Journey Under the Midnight Sun, The Kudryavka Sequence
